No.3, Ln. 74, Shifen St., Pingxi Township, Taipei County 226

In 1922, Yilong Mine opened. All the coals produced would need to be delivered to Shifen train station before further transport to other places Therefore, the first two-story building office and the coal field next door was constructed in Pingxi, which complete the line of production, sales and management mechanism. During the Japanese colonization, average houses would built with one-story and black tiled roof. Therefore, this two-story building stands out from the ordinary. Since then, all the two-story buildings are called louzaicuo (in Mandarin or louachu in Taiwanese). There would be one kid who would always wonder outside the walls “this is Hu's family's property, but why can't I go inside? One day when I am capable, I will build my own dream on this property”. When Taiwan mining industry declined, Mr. Hu negotiated several times before he could renovate and refurbish “Louachu” with preserving the external structure and minimal interior modification. That's how we have a unique “Louachu” B & B today.
